Resting Place

I took this picture of these trees after I went on an evening run and was stretching in my backyard. The sun was just beginning to set, and the twinkling light coming in between the branches and leaves looked too stunning not to take a photo! This painting captures the warm feeling of a summer day slowly coming to an end, and I'm transported back to that day, back to that tired but gratifying feeling of coming home to rest after a long run every time I look at it.
